Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Figo spark anger over Kobe Bryant’s identical tributes

Both players published the same message on Kobe’s untimely passing.
They only chose different pictures.
Clearly, a community manager is to blame.
Basketball legend Kobe Bryant tragically passed away in the helicopter crash on Sunday. Plenty of footballers paid emotional tributes to Kobe’s untimely passing.

However, the messages from two ex-Madridistas, Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Figo were rather controversial. Fair to say, they were completely identical.

Cristiano’s tweet:

Figo’s tweet which was posted around three hours afterwards:

Each of the messages read: “So sad to hear the heartbreaking news of the deaths of Kobe and his daughter Gianna. Kobe was a true legend and inspiration to so many. Sending my condolences to his family and friends and the families of all who lost their lives in the crash. RIP Legend💔.”

The photos are different, though. Luis Figo added a picture of himself standing alongside the late legend.

The identical tweets are believed to be a grave error made by a community manager who seemingly works for both Portuguese players. It is rather sad that two world-known football stars are unable to honour Kobe using their own words.

Meanwhile, Barcelona’s players wrote touching tributes to Kobe: check them out here.

World-famous basketball player Kobe Bryant died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California. His daughter Gianna and seven more were on board. All the passengers are confirmed deceased by Los Angeles County Police.

The chief reason for the accident is believed to be low visibility. LA Police even grounded its helicopters on Sunday morning as the weather conditions did not meet the minimum standards for flying. It was extremely foggy.

Bryant was a well-documented Barcelona fan. He often paid visits to the club’s training base and posed in Barca shirts since the 2000s.
