Division 1 League Match In Ghana Turns Wrestling ; Referees B£aten Ruthlessly – Photos

Ghana’s second-tier league saw yet another hooliganism after Wamanafo Mighty Royals fans heavily descended and attacked match day officials after their goalless drawn game against Sunyani Based club Bofoakwa Tano on Sunday afternoon.

Mighty Royals hosted in-form Bofoakwa Tano at the Wamanafo park in a week 14 game of this season’s Ghana division one league.

The game ended in a goalless draw and according to an eye witness at the venue, the supporters rushed the match officials just after the final whistle and started beating them. The officials of the game are Niatire Suntuo Aziz, Suleman Mohammed and Yakubu Abdul Rahman

4th referee is Hasim Yakubu.

This has been one of the many attacks on match officials and visiting teams in some of the division one league centres.

Ghana Football Association is expected to be ruthless and punish these hooligans severely to curve this menace from our beautiful game.
