SAMINI,SHATTAWALE AND STONEBWOY ARE ALL NOT DOING DANCEHALL-ARTICLE WAN

Bright Homenya ,known in showbiz as Article Wan has said that Shatta wale,Samini and stonebwoy are all Afro dancehall artists.The ‘solo’ hitmaker said this in an interview award winning journalist Samuel Obuobi Baah(Sammy Flex).

Recently there has been talks and controversies surrounding the creation of a new genre ,Afro Danchall.The move for the creation was started by industry gatekeeper and founder of 3music Awards,Sadiq Abdulai Abu who thinks the creation of the new genre is highly overdue.Some sections of public and industry people also have said that there are enough music genres already and hence no need to create more.

Whiles on Sammy flex’s show, Article Wan was querried for his thoughts on creation of a new genre.The act said he felt it was a step in the right direction.He went on to say dancehall acts Shatta wale ,stonebwoy and Samini aren’t doing dancehall better than the originators of the genre .

He continued to say that,as a nation who is noticed for highlife and hip life,blending dancehall with the African and Ghanaian music patterns will sell it better than what is being done right now.

The act went on to say no matter how Ghanaian acts try to emulate dancehall,they can never beat the originators from the Caribbean.Below is a link to his interview with Sammy Flex;
