From Basic School Teacher To The Bar: The Inspirational Story of Amoako Nahum, Esq.

It is possible is never a cliche, Ghanaian Basic School Teacher, Amoako Nahum, has set the internet ablaze after defying all odds and meandering his way through the thick and thin to be called to the Bar.

The story of this 38-year-old teacher has become the talk of the town.

Law in Ghana is said to be a prestigious course and demands a hefty load of resources, viz, a viz monetary investment and academic work.

It is rare to see a basic school teacher being called to the bar in Ghana, probably due to the workload and financial demands of the programme.

Nevertheless, this year, a Basic School teacher, AMAOKO NAHUM, has set the bar so high and paved the way, convincing the industry that everything is possible.

Here is a brief profile of AMOAKO NAHUM:

Amoako Nahum, Esq., is a basic school teacher.
He graduated with a 3rd class from the College of Education, Jasikan.
After teaching for a while in Akim Otwereso, he obtained his degree from Valley View University and graduated with first-class honors in Social Studies.
He became the head teacher of RC JHS in Akim Otwereso.
After many years of teaching, he moved and started his journey of realizing his dream of becoming a lawyer.
He obtained his LLB certificate at the KAAF University with Second Class Upper honors.
He sat for the Law School entrance exam and passed completely.
After 2 years, he was called to the Bar.
